Begin Your Day With God 2

Sometimes He even shortens our lives to keep us from evil.

Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

We have no clue about the devastations that He protects us from when we simply ask Him to deliver us from evil. It is evidence of His love that He leads us just one step at a time.

Psalms 37:23a The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: . . .

He knows exactly what we can handle today and what we will not be able to handle until tomorrow.

Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

James 4:14-15 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

If we knew everything, we could safely depend upon ourselves and wouldn’t need Him. As things are we desperately need to trust Him and seek His guidance.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Rather than be troubled about what we don’t know we ought to rejoice and know that what God knows is more important. And that He knows what to do with what He knows. Because we cannot even see what we are fighting against we need to ask for His guidance before every decision, large or small.

Ephesians 6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
